In recent years there has been an increase in records of bats with atypical colorations, however, the frequency of this phenomenon in populations and how these changes interfere in the life history of these animals is still unknown. The aim of this work was to report chromatic disturbances in individuals from a Molossus molossus colony located near the Parque Estadual do Desengano, state of Rio de Janeiro. We captured five individuals with signs of chromatic disorders, three females and two males. We classified four individuals as piebaldism, one with a white venter and the others with hypopigmented spots and the fifth individual with hypomelanism. Our record is the first of piebaldism and hypomelanism for M. molossus in Brazil. With new records of color disturbances, we will be able to better understand the frequency of these anomalies in bat populations, which will lead to clarifications about their possible consequences on individuals and populations.
